7 COLORES GRAN RESERVA, PROVOCATIVE BLEND WINES

Following its proposal to be completely different from what is traditionally expected in the world of wine, the 7 Colores Gran Reserva line presents modern blends that mix traditional red vines with heritage white varieties.

The winemaker Rodrigo Moletto created, under the Gran Reserva line, a portfolio of wines that seeks to break paradigms and create innovative and provocative blends that do not follow established patterns. The Gran Reserva line incorporates small portions of non-traditional white grapes into all the wines as a way of enhancing the typical characteristics of the main variety.

Among the varieties present in the line is the Carmenère/Viogner wine, in which both strains come from the same vineyard in the Maule Valley and are in tune with the terroir where they are produced. Here, the white variety adds a floral note, giving life to a highly concentrated wine with silky tannins. Its 2017 vintage obtained an outstanding 90 points from the international critic James Suckling.

The Gran Reserva Pinot Noir/Semillón wine comes from the Casablanca Valley. In this blend, Semillon enhances the characteristic fruity notes of Pinot Noir with sweeter fruits, thus increasing the aromatic profile of the wine, which turns out to be with soft tannins and good structure. This wine also received an important score from James Suckling, who gave its 2019 version an outstanding 91 points.

Lastly, the Cabernet Sauvignon/ Moscatel variety comes from the Maipo Valley. In this blend, Moscatel adds floral notes and increases the aromatic breadth of the wine. It is an intense blend, with aromas of black fruits that feels juicy on the palate, with good density and sweet tannins. The 2017 vintage obtained 91 points in the Descorchados guide.

In this way, the Gran Reserva de 7 Colores line reaffirms the commitment to creativity without limits or paradigms that the winery has acquired and its unusual way of breaking with the codes of the competition, in addition to disobeying the rules, revealing its innovative and irreverent.

Since its launch, the vineyard has stood out for its unusual proposal, far from the formality with which the world of wine is often associated, thanks to a striking design and mixtures of red and white varieties with total freedom, which result in wines of great balance, round and very attractive, such as the blends present in the Gran Reserva line.
