2021, a great year for 7 Colores

With outstanding scores in several of its lines, 7 Colores closes the year as one of the most innovative brands in the Chilean wine world.

7 Colores is a distinctive brand that stands apart in the traditional wine world as an atypical proposal based on three key pillars: its non-traditional image, the use of heritage varieties, and its unique and innovative blends. These concepts have helped 7 Colores captivate clients, critics, and specialized media alike due to the excellent quality of its expressive, well-structured wines.

2021 was an excellent year for 7 Colores, and many of its lines received excellent scores at home and abroad. The 2017 Icon Cabernet Sauvignon earned 94 points in the Descorchados guide to Chilean wine. The Gran Reserva line stood out this year and its 2018 Pinot Noir/Semillon received 91 points from the US wine critic James Suckling, while the Chilean magazine La CAV awarded 92 points to the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon/Muscat, 93 points to the 2017 Carmenere, and 91 to the 2019 Chardonnay.

In the Edición Limitada line, the 2017 Carmenere received 92 points from both James Suckling and the 2022 Descorchados guide, while its 2018 Chardonnay/Viognier obtained 91 points from La CAV.

The Single Vineyard line was also very well received this year. James Suckling gave the 2017 Red Blend 91 points, while the prestigious Descorchados guide delivered 92 points for the 2018 vintage of this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Cabernet Franc, Syrah and Carignan.
